For sale is a great set of the 1978 to 1983 Proof Roosevelt Dimes. The Roosevelt Dime began mintage in 1946 and is still minted to this day. It is the only coin in circulation today that did not have a design change of any kind since it began mintage. They were made of 90% silver until 1964 and after that they were copper/nickel clad. People who have Roosevelt Dime albums have a hard time filling them with the proof coins because the only way you can get them if they are cracked out of the proof sets; the Mint does not sell proof coins individually. So these coins are a low cost way to get these dates that are hard to find. Like most proof coins, the coins in this set have "S" mint marks. In this set the 1979 & 1981's are the "Type 1" varieties.

As you can see from the pics the coins are in gorgeous condition. All are very lustrous and shine as if they came right from the mint. They all have that mirror-image finish with frosty raised reliefs you expect from high quality proof coins.
None have any major toning or any damage or cleaning.
