POSITION SUMMARY 

The Center Support Aide provides non-clinical support to ensure the PACE center functions smoothly and safely each day. Assists with the setup, organizion, and breakdown of personal care spaces, meal service operions, and common areas. Maintains a clean, orderly, and welcoming environment for participants, staff, and visitors. Supports center programming and daily workflows through supply restocking, room preparion, participant escorting within the center, and personal care assistance. Functions as a supportive team member by communicing environmental, medical or operional needs to approprie staff to promote positive participant experience. Administers personal care assistance when needed to PPTs in Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with the daily setup, organizion, and breakdown of personal care rooms/center, including arranging tables, chairs, hydrion stions, and maintaining supplies needed for meals and/or personal care. 
• Provide non-clinical support during participant activities by escorting participants within the center under staff supervision, including personal care or transfers.
• Assist with meal service operions, including tray setup, table preparion, meal delivery support, and dining area cleanup. Assist with feeding needs of PPT’s when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of common areas, including activity rooms, dining spaces, hydrion stions, and shared equipment areas, closely following the Infection Control policies and procedures.
• Restock center supplies such as linens, PPE, personal care supplies, PPT clothing, sanition supplies, and participant comfort items.
• Support transportion coordinion by helping stage participants for departures and arrivals, escorting wheelchairs only.
• Monitor the center environment for safety concerns such as spills, broken equipment, cluttered walkways, or supply shortages and promptly report issues to leadership.
• Foster positive, respectful, and supportive relionships with participants, families, and team members through professional non-clinical interaction.
• Follow all organizional policies, confidentiality standards, and OSHA safety guideline s all times.
• Perform other non-clinical duties as assigned to support the daily operions of the PACE center.
• Administer personal care such as toileting, showering, personal care, incontinence of care, and colostomy care, as designed within the scope of practice of ste certificion.
• Maintain required documention for toileting, showering, laundry, and wer temperures.
• May take assignments to cover home care needs of participants
• Participes in IDT for PCA role as assigned by center leadership

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• Two (2) years of experience working in a hospital, nursing home or community-based setting is preferable. 
• License/Certificions applicable per Ste requirements. NJ must have CHHA/CNA
• 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly populion preferred. If this is not present, training will be provided upon hiring (If applicable for the role). 
• Position specific competencies for the Personal Care Specialist will be met prior to assuming participant care.  

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizions up to de before engaging in direct participant contact.   
• Pass a comprehensive criminal background check th may include, but is not limited to, federal and ste Medicare/Medicaid exclusion lists, criminal history, educion verificion, license verificion, reference check, and drug screen, valid driver's license where/if applicable.
