Looking for brick ranch home to rent...long term...or rent to own...

Hello and thanks for looking...hope all is well! My wife and I have been together for more than 10 years (it's just us two...no pets or anything) and have been renting an apartment for the last few years. We now find ourselves in need of more space and want to buy a house....they say that now is the time to buy! We can afford to pay our monthly rent with no problem...we have been exemplary renters for years. We have impeccable credit and both work full time steady jobs. The issue is putting money down on a home...$20k for example. We just can't swing that, and that's what you need to be able to do these days. Anyhow, we're thinking about renting a home long term now with possibility of working a deal with our landlord. Maybe we can long term rent to buy? For example, if you currently own a home that you don't live in and it's paid for (you inherited it perhaps) we can pay you a monthly fee instead of paying our bank mortgage long term. You'd then deduct that fee every month from a total value we agree the home is worth, and in time we'd essentially own the home free and clear. So in essence, we'd be slowly buying the home from you...an extended rent to own program. If we can't do this and you have a property you think would work for us, as a straight rental, still feel free to contact us. What we want...ideally....
A one level brick ranch type home...or at least mostly brick. No straight frame homes and no homes that require stairs be used to get to most bedrooms/bath please.
If it has a basement or upstairs that's OK, but bathrooms and majority of bedrooms must be ground floor located as I have back/knee issues.
Working central AC and heat is imperative.
Home should have at least 1.5 baths...preferrably 2.
4 bedroom or more preferred...so a house that had an addition perhaps would work. We LOVE strange layouts!!
Garage ideally would be attached...not big necessarily.
No corner lots please and no handy man specials....as I'm not handy...lol! Home must be ready to live in for the most part.
No Chicago based homes please.
You'll see that we're not that picky really...most ammenities that folks want we don't require. We'd actually rather it NOT have a basement, multiple levels, a big yard, or pool...lol! Areas we like are Worth, Orland, Orland Park, Orland Hills, Tinley Park, Oak Forest (maybe), Palos Hill, Palos Heights, LaGrange, Western Springs, etc. That is flexible as well, so please let us know where you're at! Utility fees can either be included in what we'd pay you or separate...that doesn't matter to us either. We don't have tons of money to pay high monthly rent, but we are as solid as renters come...always pay on time, immaculately clean and thorough, and almost always smiling! If you have that property you can't sell, contact us and maybe we can work something out so we both win! Best!
