My name is Roman. I am the owner and operator of Affordable Wiring Solutions, LLC, located in central Indiana. I have been in the telecommunications industry for 30 years and self employed for the past 20 years. I service Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky. I have and will travel anywhere in the United States and Canada for larger projects.
I specialize in the design, sale and installation of surveillance camera systems / CCTV (Closed Circuit Television). I also have the expertise and experience to install anything telecommunications related. Telecommunications is the use of a wire to communicate. Most of my installations are of the following:
Twisted pair Ethernet cabling for phone, computers and WiFi access points: CAT6 cable.
Audio cabling: Speaker, home theater cabling, etc.
Visual cabling: HDMI and coax / coaxial cabling.
Door intercoms
Sound masking
Flat screen TV hanging/ mounting.
And more.
Here is the pricing for CCTV cameras. Please note that I don’t install low end or amateur equipment. I only install top of the line / professional equipment. The cheap brands you can buy online or at Costco will only last 1 or 2 years. I use Dahua equipment, which comes with a 5 year warranty, but is built to last 10+ years as long as you maintain it properly.

1) LOW PRICING PHILOSOPHY
I approach business much differently than most companies. While everyone wants to make money on the sale of the equipment and on the installation, my philosophy is different. I buy the equipment at wholesale pricing and sell it to you at my cost. MY ONLY INTEREST IS MAKING MONEY ON THE INSTALLATION.
Please see section 4 for side by side wholesale to retail price comparisons on the surveillance camera equipment I purchase. I guarantee you won’t find these prices anywhere.
2) WHY AM I LESS EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER COMPANIES ?
This is a 2 part answer:
A) I buy the equipment at wholesale prices and resell it to you at my exact wholesale price, without marking up the equipment to make higher profits.
B) I am an independent contractor with low overhead. I work from home or out of my van. I don’t have all the overhead of the larger companies. In most cases, I am several thousand dollars less expensive than others.
3) ABOUT THE CAMERAS AND SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS I INSTALL
I use Dahua cameras, video recorders and cable. Dahua was established in 2001 and is the 2nd largest manufacturer of CCTV equipment in the world. After working with many brands in the past, I prefer Dahua because the equipment is more user and installer friendly, cost effective, amazing track record on reliability, technical support, equipment longevity, FREE mobile app and FREE desktop software to view your cameras remotely from anywhere in the world.
4) WARRANTY INFORMATION
Most installers offer a 1year warranty. Dahua’s standard warranty is 3 years for equipment and 1 year for hard drives. Since I am an All Star buyer, my warranty with Dahua has been upgraded to 5 years on BOTH equipment and hard drives. Just like with any electronic, appliance or automobile, they have to draw the warranty line somewhere. But if you treat it good and maintain it well, it will last for many years. The same is true with Dahua.
5) SIDE BY SIDE WHOLESALE VERSUS RETAIL PRICE COMPARISONS
Installers mark up the price of the equipment they sell to you by 50% to 100%, and sometimes more. Retail giant B and H Photo & Electronics, established in 1973, marks up the equipment by 80%. I will use B and H Photo in my comparison tool to show you my wholesale price versus the actual retail price.
My wholesale supplier is out of Tennessee. When I opened my account, I elected not to sign a tax exempt form. A 10% sales tax is added to the price of my equipment.
Dahua 16 channel NVR (latest generation):
My wholesale price: $490.00 + sales tax.
B&H Photo retail price: $885.00 + sales tax.
Dahua 8 channel NVR (latest generation):
My wholesale price: $299.00 + sales tax.
B&H Photo retail price: $539.00 + sales tax.
Dahua IP camera (latest generation):
My wholesale price: $110.00 + sales tax.
B&H Photo retail price: $195.00 + sales tax.
1,000’ box of premium copper (not copper clad aluminum) insulated twisted pair Ethernet cable.:
My wholesale price: $105.00 + sales tax.
B&H Photo price: $205.00 + tax.
6) INSTALLATION AND LABOR RATES:
FOR CLIENTS INQUIRING ABOUT
CCTV: $150.00 per line, plus the cost of the camera.
CAT6 CABLING: $150 / DROP: This includes cable, connectors, jacks, wall face plate, labeling and cable testing.
FLAT SCREEN TV MOUNTING: $150.00 for wall or ceiling mount a flat screen TV. This does not include hardware.
COMPANIES LOOKING TO HIRE ME ON AN HOURLY BASIS FOR SUBCONTRACTING WORK: My hourly rate of $75.00 is good for most jobs.
7) B.Y.O.E. PRICING: BRING YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT
If after reading my wholesale pricing for equipment, you still want to use your own equipment, my labor rate for installing other equipment is $150 per camera + 150 for set up and configuration of the NVR..
If you are going to purchase your own equipment, the best brands in the world are: Dahua (the brand I use), Hikvision, Axis, Speco, Honeywell, Bosch, GeoVision, Avycon, Hanwha and Turing. Anything else will last you a short period of time, and you’ll have to invest more money in a year or two. Brands like Night Owl, Lorex, Swann, Watch Dog, etc., are low end brands that prey on the consumer being uneducated.
Lastly, I encourage you to stay away WiFi camera. Brands like Arlo, Ring, Blink, TP-Link, Nest, etc., simply don’t work when you need them to work. Like electric vehicles, the technology is just not there and may never be there. I’ve replaced so many WiFi systems with my hard wired systems.
8) FREE LABOR ON TV INSTALLATION WITH THE PURCHASE OF A SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM:
If you desire 1 or more onsite monitors to view the camera system, I will hang the TV’s free of labor charge. Just buy the TV and bracket.
