Full posting title: Vintage Connie Mack League Chicago Fernwood Bruins Clock & Autographed Baseball
As a tribute to a long-time sponsor of the Fernwood Bruins, the Connie Mack League baseball team of 1969, the team presented this Mastercrafters electric clock to sponsor Carlo Tozi (shortened from Tozzie), owner of the Al & Carlo Service Station. They signed this baseball with about 24 signatures, five of which I can make out. Carlo and his partner Al owned the service station on the corner of 103rd and Indiana in Fernwood and they had sponsored the team for over 10 years at that time.
The names I figured out are Ron Anderson, Justin Zalecki, Russ Cooper, Jack Czyz and maybe Hon Michalak. Anderson, Zalecki and Cooper were veterans of the team, with Czyz going back to 1959.
The clock works. It has an Ingraham motor. The plastic bottle cap on top is my idea.
