We are looking for a full time Gear Manager. The ideal Gear Manager will have at least 1 year experience with video production equipment. This position remains in-house.

Gear Manager responsibilities:
Reports to Production Manager
Maintains all gear
Communicates with Creative Lead to acquire needs of shoots
Preps gear for shoots
Communicates questions/comments/concerns about gear use with Creative Lead and Project Manager
Resets gear after shoots
Establishes and maintains Gear Checkout system
Communicates repair needs with Director of Production and Executive Director
Reports and tracks missing/broken/lost (L&D) items to the Director of Production and Executive Director
Formats cards once they are in the “To Format” (Green) bin
Maintains the cleanliness and order of the studio and gear areas
Qualifications and Skills:
Must be able to control cameras with a high degree of operational and technical knowledge.
Must have an understanding of the electronic and mechanical processes cameras use to film or to capture photos.
Must have strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to follow directions through diagrams, manuals or instruction are also critical.
Must be able to take direction and initiative
Ability to to learn new skills quickly
Comfortable working in a face paced environment
