About The Artist:
Charles Blondin was a French painter and printmaker known for his quaint depictions of Paris during different seasons. His realistic pictures were mostly produced for tourists, who would acquire them as a souvenirs of their trips to the French capitol. Born in 1913 in France, little is known about the artist or his birth name, other than that he changed his name to Charles Blondin after the famous 19th century French tightrope walker Jean-François Gravelet dit Charles Blondin. He died circa 1991 in Paris, France.
