It's with a heavy heart, that I am going to have to let this go. I am looking to downsize, and although I love the bike, it's time for it to go to a home that will use and enjoy it.
As we all know, the vintage bike market is all over the place. If the price is out of whack, please let me know.
I've included a link to some information about the frame, with the last post discussing the current stats and build.
I received the bike as a frameset and built it up, not necessarily as period accurate, but hopefully period appropriate sans the modern wheelset. It was repaired, and repainted at some point, specifically the seatpost binder area. With said repair, the only sizes seatpost that I was able to get to work was a 26.7 (I know, strange size), but I believe I have a spare seat pin as well that will also be included. To my knowledge, and based on weight, this is a full 531 frameset.
Frame bare is approx 2180 grams, fork approx 790 grams. 60 c-t seat tube x 57 c-c top tube.
The refinish is not perfect. It has some character, and some dings, scratches, and chips, but it's part of the charm. I believe it to be a 1969 Carlton Flyer RT (road track) model, which is rare as hens teeth. I've only seen one or two other models, of the later vintage, of this model online.
I am willing to sell without the wheelset, without the saddle, and as a bare frameset.
Bike as shown I am asking for $700
Bike minus wheelset I am asking $600
Bike minus wheelset and saddle, I am asking $500
Frameset (frame, fork, and headset) I am asking $375
.
Thanks for looking. I've probably missed a lot of information, but please feel free to ask.
