The Kombi Turbo model is a wonderful women's size large, vintage ski or snowboard mitten with gloved fingers inside with very soft and warm Drypel (Thermolite) lining. The gloved fingers provide much more control than a regular mitten where all of the fingers are together. The problem with that kind of mitten is that the entire mitten moves when one finger moves. With this mitten, it moves to a lesser extent because of each insulated, "gloved" finger, providing more control over what you are grabbing (i.e., ski pole). There really is a world of scientific difference. And, you can easily feel the difference as well. So here, you have the best of both worlds -- more precise control than a regular "mitten," while still retaining the desired heat retention of a mitten with an outer shell that surrounds all of the fingers and keeps the warmth together. It's ingenious.

The subject mittens have some light storage marks on them (i.e., one area is on the inside of the wrist-tightening Velcro straps which make a perfect fit to any size of wrist), which does not affect the mittens' future use.

Intelligent design also includes real leather palms. Leather is the best surface for grip when you are holding your snowboard in the lift line or grabbing your poles and launching when taking that cliff jump. Think about driving a car and grabbing the steering wheel. Would you want to wear leather gloves, or polyester gloves?
