Moser yellow cameo glass vase-c.1930. Heinrich Hussmann. Stunning. Small micro chips on rim (almost imperceptible). 8” x 8” with 24” circumference. Weight about 5 lbs.
From a series of rough and deeply etched stylized décor. Acid-carved vases designed by Hussmann, these were very costly to produce. They date to the very early days of the Art Deco era. The stylized flower decoration on this vase is even more striking in person. The base was polished, with a ground and polished pontil mark, where the designer's "HH" monogram was signed.
