Position Title: Formwork Engineer
USA-FORM, Inc. is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with specialized expertise in concrete formwork design to join our West Chicago team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who understands structural engineering fundamentals and can apply them to safe, efficient, and cost-effective formwork systems.
Key Responsibilities:
-Design and engineer formwork systems for concrete walls, slabs, beams, and columns
-Perform structural analysis to evaluate loads, stresses, and overall system stability
-Ensure all designs meet applicable building codes and safety standards
-Partner with construction teams to support proper formwork assembly and removal
-Develop optimized designs that improve efficiency and reduce costs
-Produce detailed drawings, calculations, and technical specifications
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Civil, or Construction Engineering
-Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
-Demonstrated experience designing concrete formwork systems
-Proficiency in RISA-3D and related structural analysis software
-Strong understanding of applicable safety regulations and industry standards
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-Must live in the Chicago area
