The condition varies a bit with each. The trick is to lay it on it's back and adjust the hinges to prevent rubbing (some of my units have more than others).
Also, keep weight off of the top. If I recall, 15 or 25 lbs may be pushing things to the extreme.
I may be able to provide a key and/or a manual upon request until supplies run out. (1 manual left.)
I'm gradually selling more of these and similar units as I reduce my CD inventory.
I also found pictures from an original box showing more details.
Note that I'm including extra adjustable shelves so my capacity is even higher than mentioned on the box.
