After Cosco was acquired by Taylor Corporation in 2006, product durability and quality went downhill. As a result, a few years later, this model 2015 was "recreated" with lots of plastic -- and the new model became flimsy and without the same weight, heft, quality, durability, and longevity of the one you are looking at in the attached photos. This older model is heavily-sought after. This specimen is gently used. It will provide your grandchildren's grandchildren with decades of stamping. Smooth repetitive action using a perfectly-balanced spring and well designed side glides, combined with easy and precise visual placement of the rubber stamp upon the paper you are marking, are both second to none. Simply, no equivalent is mass-produced today in self-inking stamps. Those who grew up with Cosco in the last millenium can attest.
This dater can be used "as is" by keeping the month and day but substituting the year (since it is no longer current) with any word that is on band by turning the selectable roller wheel to "PAID" or "RECV'D" or "ENT'D" or "ANSW'D" or "A.M." or "P.M." Or, you can update the band with the current year which will give you six years into the future. If you don't want to watch a YouTube video to do that yourself, just take the stamp (or mail it) to your local rubber stamp store to have the sole band easily changed.
