Beautiful "raised" design with neutral colors will complement any dinner table. Heavier construction and a nice heft lets you know Bombay Company was not fooling around with its Portugal artisans when these were made! Even the thickness is quite a bit more than regular dinner and salad plates, letting the diner know that you cared about them to set out the very best. Dinner plates measure 10.75 inches in diameter, and the salad plates are smaller.
It is difficult to describe the sheen and feel of the plates. They are like no other I have seen. An immaculately smooth finish and a brilliant shine highlight the plate's understated colors. I actually enjoyed just running my hand over and over the top of the one plate I removed from Bombay's manufacturer's packaging for photos. It's like oiled glass -- so smooth and so satisfying to feel! Thoughtful design includes a good-sized well that carefully shelters a full meal inside of it so that au jus soaking into your prime rib won't spill over the generous-sized lip of the plate.
