Great all-around, high quality dive light from trusted Dive Rite can be used as a primary light for open water dives and a backup light for overhead dives. The CX2 handheld light is impressively and beautifully CNC-machined from one solid block of aluminum and provides incredible power and versatility for your underwater adventures. The Luminous SST40 LED paired with a smooth reflector produces an impressive 1700 lumens at max output in a crisp and usable 8-degree, fixed focus beam from a lighthead the same diameter as the body. It is powerful enough for the most demanding technical divers with a sleek ergonomic design and compact size ideal for travel. Importantly, it uses the new 21700 lithium ion standard, which produces energy up to two times the length of a standard 18650 battery using its included 5000 mAh 21700 battery. However, if so inclined, you may use your 18650s in the light body with the included 18650 battery adaptor sleeve.
The single head-mounted push button provides a simple and intuitive user interface. Quickly toggle through four power levels plus a strobe mode. The button is also illuminated with a color LED indicating the level of battery charge, so you’ll never have any surprises. Intelligent design in the chipset allows deactivation of the beam with one button press after the light has been activated for more that five seconds, alleviating the frustration and hassle of having to unnecessarily rotate through the five modes.
The CX2 is powered by an included high quality, user-replaceable 5000mAh 21700 battery providing up to 2.75 hrs of burn time on high. Alternatively, a battery adapter sleeve included with the light allows it to use any protected 18650 batteries that you may already own.
A 2-piece tail cap design allows charging using an integrated USB-C charging port, eliminating the need to carry a bulky charger or remove the battery for charging. Uses a standard USB C-cable, not included. The light body comes pre-drilled and tapped to accept the Dive Rite QRM mounting system for secure mounting to any Dive Rite QRM hand mount (not included). This is very slick! Look up Dive Rite's QRM system (quick release) on the internet if you are unfamiliar with this best, safest, and unrivaled method of light attachment to glove, Goodman handle, scooter, helmet, or just about any other attachable area.
