Hoping to buy a VERY small (probably old) ride on lawn mower.
*26" maximum deck (blade length). Likely 5 to about 10HP.
According to website forums, most of the small riders I'm interested in were made from the 1960's through the 1990's.
The 25" Snapper and 26" Toro / Wheel Horse are two examples that seemed popular for small city yards back in the day.
Others online: Ariens, Cub Cadet, Hahn Eclipse, Jacobsen, JCPenney, Montgomery Ward, MTD, Murry, Sears, Simplicity, Yard Machines etc.
While a ready to use rider would be nice, it's not necessary.
It does not need to run. I can live with worn paint and surface rust. I'll fix a wobbly deck spindle, replace old belts, and replace inner tubes that don't hold air.
I'd like one of these to fix up well enough to reliably mow my small city lawn (retired man with time and tools for a budget rebuild).
Cash buyer will pay a fair price depending on what the same machine in similar condition may have sold for on FB, or equipment auction house websites for example.
Looking for a work horse, nothing too flashy. It will have to live outside under a tarp.
Hoping to limit drive for pick up to *25 miles around Montgomery.
email, text, chat, or call (if calling, please leave your first name, city, and mower model).
No rush, but will buy the first local (25mile radius) affordable little rider that puts a smile on my face, so to speak.
