This is the best scale out there. I've used several of them. The nicest part about this scale is that you don't have to give it a "thump" with your foot, or two or three of them since the first never seems to work with other scales. You simply step onto it, and it activates--just like every scale should, but does not! No more annoying thuds that scare the family or annoy the spouse. Also, the battery lasts much longer than other scales since there is no light activated during operation. Who uses a scale in pitch black darkness, anyway?
