This Beautiful metal Wallpaper Roller Cylinder has been expertly converted into an Elegant Lamp that will be a Fantastic addition to your décor.
Skilled artisans created Highly Detailed roller cylinders to mass produce Intricate Designs onto wallpaper. Each metal cylinder is Unique, so no two are alike. The exact age of this cylinder is unknown, but it could date to the early 1900's.
This lamp has a 3-way switch, it is used and has some paint wear, but it is in good condition and working order.
The lamp stands 37 3/4” tall to the top of the finial. The base is 9” in diameter at the widest point, the top of the cylinder is 6” in diameter. The harp height can be adjusted down a bit if desired.
The technique of surface print rollers was originally developed in Lancashire, England in 1873, and was a popular method for creating wallpaper designs into the 1950’s.
