With over 25 years of teaching experience, Joe has taught in a variety of settings: from private lessons, to group classes, to band coaching, and even university courses, as a professor of music business. Joe teaches skills, techniques, & concepts applicable in real-world playing situations. His teaching methods are simple, efficient, and extremely effective. Students will also learn skills such as:
- Theory fundamentals, like counting & reading
- A multitude of drum beats & fills
- Different playing styles
- Improvisation & Soloing
- Song structure & phrasing
- Listening & recognition skills, useful for transcribing & making charts
- Coordination & limb independence...to name a few
Lessons are once a week for your choice of 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes. All levels, ages, and styles are welcome!
