We are a family-owned precision manufacturer, in business since 1991 and now in its 2nd generation. We make resistance welding electrodes and caps, custom copper adapters and gun arms, bus bars, and thermal components for customers that include tier-one automotive suppliers. We run a high-mix, low-volume shop, no two days look exactly the same.
The Role
We're looking for a reliable **CNC operator** to run our turning and milling equipment.
**This is a run-and-operate role, not a programming role.**
Programs and setups are provided. Your job is to load the right tooling, run the machine, hold tolerance, and keep quality parts moving. If you know your way around a machine shop and take pride in clean, accurate work, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Do
- Load correct tooling, collets, and fixtures per the setup sheet / job traveler
- Load and unload copper bar stock and finished parts
- Run CNC lathes and mills through the production cycle, monitoring for issues
- Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges to confirm they're in spec
- Deburr and perform basic finishing operations
- Read basic prints and work instructions
- Keep your machine and work area clean; perform routine operator-level upkeep (coolant, chip clearing, basic checks)
- Flag tool wear, out-of-spec parts, or machine problems early
What You Need
- **Prior machine shop experience** (required)
- Comfortable reading basic prints and using standard measuring tools (calipers, mics)
- Attention to detail and a steady, quality-first mindset
- Dependable and on time — small shop, everyone counts
- Able to stand for a shift and lift/handle copper stock [specify weight if you want, e.g. up to 50 lbs]
**Nice to have (not required):**
- Experience with lathes and mills [e.g. Haas, Emco, Miyano — list what you'd train on]
- Familiarity with tight-tolerance work
**Not required:**
- CNC programming, G-code writing, or CAM. Setups and programs are provided.
What We Offer
- Steady work in a friendly, 2nd-generation family business
- A variety of parts and processes you won't be running the same job for months
