Handle Materials: Constructed with heavy brass channels or frames inset with jigged bone, water buffalo horn, or sambar stag scales. Construction Technique: Instead of modern torx screws, vintage pieces use hand-hammered copper pins or brass pivots to secure the handles to the blade tang.The Latch: Feature simple T-latches or standard bar latches, occasionally accented by small red, black, or blue dots or lines painted on or indented into the base. Blade: Primarily forged out of high-carbon steel, often taking the shape of a classic clip-point, dagger, or "Weehawk" profile.
