This 1960 Harley Davidson FLF Duo Glide is an almost completely original and untouched survivor motorcycle. From the original accessories, lights, chrome, luggage rack, factory mufflers, and bubbleback saddlebags to the original running gear, this FL is a great survivor motorcycle that runs perfect.
This FL was originally delivered to the New Hampshire State Police, and later sold off to the second owner. It was equipped new with the higher compression motor from the factory for police use when new.
The cosmetic condition of this machine is just as it looks in the photos. Every finish on the machine is original. As far as I can tell, no part of the bike has been re-finished with the exception of the paint on the tank and fenders, which was done some time ago in the correct period colors of Birch White and Black.
The running condition of the machine is flawless, starting immediately. This bike has been part of my collection for a while and is ridden around the industrial park where my collection of located on a regular basis. It’s basically a well-maintained and well cared for bike that runs and rides with absolutely no issues. Leave it the way it is (preferred) or restore it eventually after having some fun with it. I just happen to like unrestored/older restoration bikes.
The paint on the tank, fenders, etc. is nice. The chrome and paint on the frame and associated parts is original, and aside from some minor age freckling, is in very nice condition. The bike has never been in any type of accident or been dropped at any time. The original buddy seat is also original.
The FL runs and rides the way you expect a machine with this type of mileage to run. All of the mechanical components have been checked over to ensure they work properly including the clutch and brakes.
The carburetor is original to the machine. The entire fuel system was completely gone through this season and functions perfectly.
The charging system also functions perfectly, with a brand new battery being recently installed. The tires currently installed, while technically aged out, are still serviceable as they are modern Coker motorcycle tires, so there is absolutely nothing you will have to do to this motorcycle to ride and enjoy it.
